Catia Bastioli among the speakers of the Peccei Lecture 2019

On November 12 in Rome, the Palace of the Parliamentary Groups of the Chamber of Deputies hosted the annual appointment with the Aurelio Peccei Lecture, the event promoted by the WWF together with the Club of Rome with the collaboration of Novamont.
 
The Lectio Magistrali entitled "Nature, Climate, Economy: The Global Pact for the Future" was held by the chemist of the atmosphere Sir Robert Watson, one of the best known international scientific expert in the field of global change (from climate change to environmental and biodiversity changes) and Director of strategic development of theTyndall Center for Climate Change Research (East Anglia University).
 
Among the speakers of the day, Catia Bastioli, CEO Novamont and Member of the Club of Rome, reminded the importance to have technologies able to transform the "business as usual", to develop projects integrated into the territories in order to regenerate the resources and to face the global challenges.
 
The round table, moderated by Gianfranco Bologna, Scientific Director of WWF Italy, General Secretary of the Peccei Foundation, Member of the Club of Rome, was also attended by Lorenzo Fioramonti, Minister of Education, University and Research, Gaetano Benedetto, General Director of WWF Italy, Roberto Danovaro, President of the zoological station A. Dohrn, Enrico Giovannini, Spokesperson ASVIS and Professor of Economic Statistics at the University of Tor Vergata and Roberto Peccei, President of the Aurelio Foundation Peccei and member of the Club of Rome.
